WA Student SmartRider Free Travel
Eligible school students with a valid Student SmartRider travel free on weekday Transperth/Transregional services during the school year.
Check whether this applies to you
Primary and secondary students, including registered home-school students; tag on and off every trip using the valid Student SmartRider. Secondary students 19 or older use Tertiary SmartRider concession rules instead; tertiary students have a separate scheme. Card applications have no published annual deadline; free travel follows the school-year weekday rules.
What to prepare
- Manual form: student/contact and school/year details, student number, parent declaration and school authorisation.
- Home-school paper applicants attach the Home Education Certificate of Registration.
