WA School Bus Services Conveyance Allowance
Approved contribution to private-vehicle school travel where suitable school-bus transport is unavailable.
Check whether this applies to you
Mainstream rural students normally attend their nearest appropriate school, live over 4.5 km away and outside a designated Public Transport Area; policy exceptions apply. SBS decides assistance, distance and trips. Education-support school/centre families have a conveyance option; ordinary work-commute drop-offs are excluded. Apply for approval before travel; claim actual trips after each school term.
What to prepare
- Parent/student details, school, travel days, two emergency contacts; relevant medical or wheelchair information if applicable.
- For reimbursement: approved travel, term trip count, official school attendance record and nominated bank account.
