School Drive Subsidy
Helps eligible families with private-vehicle school travel where public transport is unavailable or limited.
Check whether this applies to you
Student eligibility includes NSW residence or an overseas-student category eligible for free government education, age at least 4 years 6 months, full-time school/TAFE attendance, and school-level distance/transport conditions. This is not a general fuel rebate. Transport for NSW assesses the route and distance. Do not quote a current per-kilometre rate without checking the relevant semester. Border schools can have different term dates.
What to prepare
- Student/school details and the proposed school journey, including eligible children travelling together.
- Parent/guardian contact email and their own bank-account details, entered only on the official application.
- Lot, deposited-plan and section details if the online system cannot identify the address.
