Fee-Free Scholarships for eligible vocational learners
Eligible learners can have fees covered for an approved full qualification up to Certificate IV.
Check whether this applies to you
Meet Smart and Skilled rules: usually age 15+, no longer at school, living or working in NSW, an eligible residency category and a USI. Scholarship routes include ages 15–30 receiving or dependent on specified Commonwealth assistance; qualifying out-of-home care; or age 15+ with a domestic/family violence support recommendation. Low income alone does not establish eligibility. The provider must confirm funding before enrolment. Usually one scholarship per financial year and two over four financial years, with specified exceptions; not a cash scholarship.
What to prepare
- USI, or arrange one with the training provider.
- Provider-requested proof of NSW residence/work and eligible residency status.
- Evidence for the relevant concession, care-history or support-letter pathway.
